Malaysians on third mission to Gaza
They are flying to Cairo where they will pick up wheelchairs, crutches, medicine, solar lamps and the Holy Quran in Braille.

They are also rebuilding eleven schools to make sure nine thousand children can get an education.

Malaysia has a long history of helping to ease the suffering of the Palestinians who are forced to live under Israeli occupation.

Several Malaysians were on the ship which was trying to break the Gaza blockade when Israeli military attacked and killed nine activists on board, two years ago. That incident caused widespread outrage here in Malaysia.

Viva Palestina Malaysia was launched last year by former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad, a strong proponent of the Palestinian cause.

Mahathir was also instrumental in setting-up the Kuala Lumpur War Crimes Tribunal which recently found former US president George Bush and his associates guilty of war crimes in Iraq and Afghanistan.

It is discussing setting up a similar tribunal to bring Israel to book for crimes against the Palestinians.

This is Viva Palestina Malaysia's third mission to Gaza since 2009.
