What is the secret behind the remarkable speed in bringing the terrorists’ fortified localities down in Syria?
Most of the intrusions took place in accordance with the accurate information available by the Syrian forces, what allowed them to hit the joints of leadership, and what in turn contributed to weakening the ability of the insurgents to withstand.

The city of Yabroud and its surrounding towns and villages witnessed fierce battles in the past few days after they turned into an important center for the terrorist groups and the Syrian army, since they act as a lifeline linking Lebanon and Syria. Yabroud has been used as a pathway for the fighters that are coming from outside Syria to fight against the regime, but today it is controlled by the Syrian army that considers the battle that took place in it is one of the most important raging battles in all parts of Syria, in all ways.

After Yabroud, the Syrian army controlled the town of Ras Al-Ein, west Yabroud in rural Damascus, amid the disintegration of the terrorist groups who escaped to the town of Rankous. Days after controlling Yabroud in Al-Qalamoun, the Syrian army fully regained the town of Ras al-Ein, west of the city, after the disintegration of the gunmen who fled to the neighboring town Rankaus.

On the other hand, one of the leaders in the Syrian army said that “the army imposed its control over the city of Ras Al-Ein and the operations are ongoing in Al-Qalamoun area until liberating it entirely”.

The gunmen fled after the fall of Yabroud to Ras Al-Ein, and the Syrian army carried out cleansing operation in the village after killing dozens of them and lifting the siege being imposed on the civilians. The residents of Yabroud celebrated the return of the Syrian army to their town.

The Syrian army found in the surrounding farms near Yabroud and Ras Al-Ein a plant for the manufacture of car bombs and missiles, and the car dismantled by the Syrian army was heading to Lebanon loaded with more than 100 kg of high explosives.

It is noteworthy that the heavy artillery targeted militant positions in the Sarkha, Rankous and Flita villages, amid significant progress in the village of Ras Al-Ma’ra, and military assurances that Al-Qalamoun battle is still ongoing until taking all the insurgents out of it.
