Nuclear Iran and the fall of Imperialism

Islam Times reports that the former director of Mossad, Meir Dagan, stated in his latest speech that he severely opposes any military action against Iran with the purposes of stopping their nuclear program. His opposition angered many in Israel.

Netanyahu, the prime minister of Israel stated that Iran obtaining a nuclear bomb is equal to the destruction of Israel and the Jewish nation. Barak, minister of defense, states that the strategic balance of the region will tilt in Iran’s favor if it is able to obtain a nuclear bomb.

But, Gabi Ashkenazi, the current chief of general staff of the Israel defense forces, Meir Dagan, the former director of Mossad, Amos Yadlin, the head of the Israeli military intelligence directorate, and Tamir Pardo, the current director of Mossad all oppose military action against Iran.

The infighting between Israeli politicians and military figures about attacking Iran has reached such a level that they have been leaked into the media. America is also supporting the balanced politicians and those who oppose military action in order to prevent a possible war with Iran.

What is important is that Israeli politicians are worried about Iran’s nuclear activities. They are trying their best to prevent Iran from advancing nuclear technology through diplomatic efforts in Europe and through the media. They are presenting the Iranian nuclear program as a threat to the region and to the world.

The American and Israeli foreign policy is presenting this issue as the most important issue of the world; and especially the most important issue of the Middle East. Through this, America is pressuring European nations to increase their sanctions against Iran in order for them to have the upper hand in diplomatic talks with the Islamic Republic.

In response, the Islamic Republic has repeatedly emphasized the peaceful nature of its nuclear program. America has been forced to accept Iran’s influence in the region and they are unable to do anything in the Middle East without Iran being able to establish their influence. They are at a loss because of this.
