Palestinian prisoner placed as head of only ballot list in Tqou’ village

Riyad’s family members said that this support has come at a critical time, since Riyad’s health is constantly worsening. Riyad slips into comas multiple times a day and suffers from exhaustion and incontinence.

Injuries attained before his imprisonment have not helped to improve Riyad’s condition. Riad sustained an Israeli gunshot wound to the abdomen in the past, and parts of internal organs had to be removed leading to the deteriorating conditions and weak coronary muscles.

Riad al Amour who is 42 years old was arrested on May 4th, 2002 and sentenced to 11 life terms for involvement in the resistance.

Riyad’s family was surprised when they recently heard that he underwent an open-heart surgery last week. They have no news of his current health situation.
