‘ISAF copter crashes in Afghanistan’
Unconfirmed reports said that the American helicopter came down in Gera Khel area of Pachir Aw Agam district on Tuesday. There have been no reports of possible casualties.

The Taliban militants claim they have shot down the American helicopter.

Eyewitnesses say two US helicopters were flying in the area when one of them suddenly crashed to the earth.

Security forces have been sent to the incident site, reports say.

Last month, six foreign troopers including five Americans were killed in two separate helicopter crashes in Afghanistan.

The NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) did not make comments to the latest report of helicopter crash.

According to icasualties.org, at least 30 US-led soldiers were killed in the war-torn country since the beginning of this year.

The United States and its allies invaded Afghanistan in 2001 as part of Washington's so-called war on terror. While the war removed the Taliban from power, insecurity continues to be high across the country.
