Saudi Arabia and other regional states could also face situation like Iraq, says dr. Rizvi
Talking to Islam Times, Dr. Hassan Askari Rizvi stressed, regional countries, especially Saudi Arabia should realize what dangers lie in religious radicalism and thus avoid supporting terrorist groups in Iraq and Syria.

He added that if these extremists enter into these states, governments will have a hard time crushing their advances or prevent their spread.

Speaking on the upcoming role of the United States in Iraq, Dr. Rizvi said, “Instead of interfering, America should stop its allies from supporting terrorist groups in Iraq and Syria.”

Making mention of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, (ISIS), he emphasized, “ISIS is a Salafi extremist group sponsored by Saudi Arabia and other countries; extremists from western countries have flocked to Iraq to support ISIS war efforts.”

To a question about the western propaganda that claims that such groups are being supported by the Sunni tribes of Iraq, he noted, “it is not a sectarian issue, both Sunni and Shia are at threat, the threat is general.”
