TWO GERMANS ARRESTED IN UK FOR TERRORISM CHARGES

Islam Times: Christian David Emde, 28, and Robert Baum, 23, have been charged under the Terrorism Act.

They were arrested at the port by officers from the South East Counter Terrorism Unit.

Both men are accused of collecting or possessing information likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism.

They have been remanded in custody and are due to appear before magistrates in Westminster today.

They were remanded in custody until 24 August. Neither defendant gave an indication of how they intended to plead to the allegations.

However, police said that the charges had nothing to do with the recent terrorist attacks in Norway.
