Gabriela Shalev, Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations, said: “The Goldstone report will not leave.” She added: “If Israel conducts an internal investigation into the Gaza War, it still cannot fool itself into thinking that this report will leave the minds of the people of the world.”
The Israeli ambassador spoke in the Israeli Democracy Institute and said: “Anti-Israeli sentiments are being seen throughout the world which are unprecedented in recent years. This is due to Israel’s weakness in describing its situation to the world.”
Richard Goldstone, the head of an independent fact-finding mission created by the United Nations Human Rights Council, reported that Israel committed war crimes in the Gaza War; that they committed crimes against humanity and that they intentionally target civilians.
