Denouncing Bahrain’ sectarian state policies
Sayed Jameel Kadhim said, “As public funds and lands continue to be looted by senior officials, the regime makes things worse for the economy by naturalizing masses of foreigners, then it resorts to neighboring countries for financial aid”. Kadhim blamed the regime for failing to provide prosperity to Bahraini citizens by wasting funds and monopolizing national wealth.

He mentioned that the regime is trying to hide details and numbers related to fertility and population rates that would expose the political naturalization project it has been carrying out for more than a decade now.

“More than 100,000 naturalized foreigners have been brought in and compete with the indigenous citizens in services and living”, he added. “We’ve found a considerable number of births have been excluded from the Health Ministry statistics to hide the increasing naturalization rate”.

Kadhim also mentioned that the regime is using the foreigners it has naturalized in State-forces to repress the people who are calling for democratic transition. “There is no doubt that the civilized identity of the Bahraini people is threatened today by these new ideologies and behaviors strange to Bahraini society” he said.

Kadhim further explained that the naturalization process is draining the economy and affecting development on healthcare and education levels. “Bahrain has resorted to neighboring countries for financial aid to build infrastructure and establish housings and develop other services, while it is spending 40% of State-budget on security services”, he added.

Finally, Kadhim said, “Bahrain suffers from high density population and limited land space and resources but the regime is wasting these resources and spending billions of dollars to employ and house tens of thousands of naturalized foreigners resulting in a setback in economic development”.
