NBC's Folly Features Bibi's Iranian Fairy Tale

In keeping with tradition, the National Broadcasting Company (NBC), acting like the Neocon Broadcasting Company, aired Bibi's Iranian fairy tale without once correcting Bibi's lies and misconceptions. As when NBC featured Dick Cheney's political theater that lied the U.S. to war with Iraq 10 years ago, Bibi's deceptive claims were never once challenged despite the glaring discrepancies about Iran’s nuclear ambitions and capabilities that are clearly contradicted by a multitude of reports from several agencies which clearly state that Iran does not have a nuclear weapons program and is far from ready to develop a nuclear bomb (link: http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article32499.htm). Meet the Press host David Gregory gave Bibi a free pass, never once raising the point that Bibi's claims are bogus.
 
Despite Bibi's fallacious rhetoric, Iran is not trying to develop nuclear weapons and in fact has actually reduced the amount of Enriched Uranium it is enhancing for nuclear power. Bibi has falsely claimed that Iran wad developing nuclear weapons since 1992 (link: http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article32462.htm) at which point in time he was allegedly involved in illegally smuggling nuclear triggers out of the U.S. So far the U.S. has resisted Bibi's calls for a "red line" because the facts clearly tell a different story.
 
In addition to U.S. and Israeli intelligence agencies contradicting Bibi's bellicose rhetoric over imaginary Iranian threats, U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta dismissed Bibi's demands and accused him of trying to force the U.S. into a corner over its Iran policy (link: http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2012/sep/16/israel-demands-us-red-line-iran-nuclear). Contrary to the propaganda portrayed by most news coverage, Iran has reduced -- not increased -- the amount of enriched uranium available for 'breaking out' to weapons grade enrichment by 20 percent according to a recent International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) investigation (link: http://www.commondreams.org/headline/2012/09/16-1).
 
When it Comes to Iran, Repeated Lies call for Repeated Truth
 
Due to NBC's acting as the purveyor of Bibi's Iranian fairy tale on "Meet the Press," noting Gregory's refusal to question Bibi's claims is important. Gregory made no mention of the fact that Bibi made the same assertions just before the Iraq war when he perjured himself in front of Congress where he lied about Saddam Hussein trying to acquire nuclear weapons and falsely claimed Iran was racing to develop nuclear weapons. Gregory never questioned Bibi why Israeli political leaders have been making deceptive claims about Iran wanting a bomb since 1992 and he never mentioned the IAEA report or intelligence agencies that repute Bibi's fallacious assertions.
 
You would think that after 20 years of frenzied and frustrated warmongering efforts, Bibi would be able to come up with something new since what worked for him ten years ago before the illegal U.S. invasion of Iraq won't work now in his current campaign to invade Iran (link: http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article32513.htm), despite the great strides Israel's government has made in recycling his jingoistic propaganda from a decade ago. As the U.S. gets drawn into yet another Middle Eastern quagmire on Israel's behalf, it's important to keep three things in mind when it comes to why the U.S. and Israel are lying about Iran: Engineers of the detailed U.S.-Israeli policy to subvert and destroy Iran admit in their very own policy papers that Iran threatens Western hegemony, not Western security; Using a U.S. State Department-listed foreign terror organization to wage covert wars against the Iranian people allowed the U.S. and Israel to strike first; and Because of its extensive ties to Wall Street and London, the Israeli government has no interest in Israel's self-preservation or the survival of the "Jewish State" of Israel. Indeed, the Israeli government could be the greatest enemy of the Israeli people.
 
It's hard to find the truth about Iran's nuclear designs in corporate media outlets such as the Neocon Broadcasting Company because we're constantly being peddled mountains of propaganda and lies to scare and misinform us about Iran and what is really happening there (link: http://www.alternet.org/print/world/9-big-myths-were-being-peddled-scare-us-about-iran). A couple of the biggest lies -- there are several -- repeatedly spread by corporate media to scare the U.S. public to war with Iran include allegations that Iran threatened to annihilate Israel, when in fact, it has done no such thing, and claims that Iran's nuclear program might spur an arms race in the Middle East when in fact it is Israel's extensive arsenal of nuclear weapons that has spurred Middle Eastern arms races. The propaganda never ceases.
 
Political Theater is, by Design, Pure Folly Aimed at Deceiving the Masses
 
Much of what Americans are told by their corporate media when it comes to relations between the U.S. and Israel are also lies and myths. Despite the claims that the U.S. enjoys a special bond with Israel, the facts reveal quite the opposite (link: http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article32414.htm). In reality, the cherished friendship between the U.S. and Israel is nothing more than a fairy tale propagated by politicians to mask the suspicions that have marked the relationship since Israel's founding. Unbeknownst to many U.S. taxpayers, more than $3 billion dollars is handed over to Israel each year to fund its Middle Eastern ambitions and its military, the U.S. security establishment has always regarded Israel as an unfaithful partner and U.S. officials are often at odds with Israeli officials over Iran.
 
But the discord between the U.S. and Israeli government includes much more than Iran as antipathy has been the norm for decades due to the fact that Israel has been the number one counter-intelligence threat in the Middle East. Israel has also illegally spied on the U.S. for several decades and Israel is far from a trusted ally in the U.S. "War on Terror." In fact, there is much evidence tying the "terrorist" attacks that happened on September 11, 2001 to Mossad -- and in fact Israel has attacked the U.S. before, once in 1967 (link: http://whatreallyhappened.com/WRHARTICLES/ussliberty.html) – despite the U.S. spinning the attacks as coming from its bogeyman Al Qaeda. All the talk of a special relationship between the U.S. and Israeli government is due, in part, to the formidably intimidating – albeit often illegal – lobbying tactics of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) which in fact is part of the Israeli government responsible for strong-arming and purchasing U.S. politicians to cater to Israel's agendas.
 
Too many U.S. politicians, both Democrat and Republican, are effectively bought and paid for by Israel and its lobbyists. As observed by Francis Perrin in the 1950s and 1960s when Israel started acquiring its nuclear arsenal, Israel's bombs are really aimed against Americans, not because Israel wants to attack the U.S. but because it realized that once it possessed the only nuclear arsenal in the Middle East, the U.S. would rarely risk standing in its way, regardless of how much its policies ran counter to U.S. interests. He was right. The U.S. has been made to look foolish and has no credibility in the Middle East because so many of its bought and paid for politicians cater to the Israeli Government's duplicitous agendas and policies (link: http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article32414.htm).
 
Political theater is, by design, nothing but pure folly aimed at deceiving the masses. The fact that NBC aired Bibi's lies without question is incorrigible and could prove extremely disastrous. The world has been through hell for the past 11 years (link: http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article32421.htm), and a U.S.-Israeli attack on Iran could result in World War III. For far too long corporate media has promulgated propaganda and partaken in political theater for the U.S.-Israeli governments and covered up the truth about Iran and its nuclear ambitions. Bibi's latest propaganda tour of the U.S. is a blatant conspiracy for war with Iran to enrich his corporate compatriots aided and abetted by presstitute corporate media outlets. Americans need to take a long hard look at the U.S. involvement and relations with Israel so they can see the truth for themselves. It's important to recognize it for what it is and put an end to it.
