Justifying Security Theater With Fabricated Terrorism

But really, how credible is this conveniently timed "threat?" Once again Americans are being subject to political theater and played by their government which appears to be justifying security with fabricated terrorism as once again Washington has been caught trying to cover up their criminal actions (link: http://www.reuters.com/article/email/idUSBRE97409R20130805).
 
In what has become standard operating procedure for Washington since 9/11, officials issue vague, ominous alerts about a terrorist plot or imminent terrorist attack they allegedly foiled to corrupt Congressional leaders behind closed doors who echo the same supposed threat, but no one bothers to raise questions about the claims or the essential premises of the fear-mongering campaign (link: http://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2013/08/05/pers-a05.html). As usual there are a lot of unanswered questions over Washington's claims, especially to the timing of the announcements and the actual threat involved. There is no factual substantiation to the threats and no specific targets identified. When you look at the well-established, yet for the most part unreported fact that virtually every "terrorist" attack or attempted "terrorist" attack carried out since 9/11 were attributed to individuals that were either acting in collaboration with the U.S. government or had previously been under police surveillance, there is a long-standing pattern of deception that appears.
 
It's time to focus on all the crimes the U.S. government perpetrates against its citizens, not those that reveal them (link: http://www.commondreams.org/view/2013/08/01-9). All the attention focused on Edward Snowden since revealing all the National Security Administration’s (NSA’s) illegal spying on Americans has been a distraction from the increasing security apparatus in the U.S. and the secret courts that duplicitously enabled the sweeping and systemic erosion of the rights and privacy of every U.S. citizen, and the evisceration of the Fourth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Washington's actions are illegal. Letting Washington’s disingenuous bloviating about Snowden's revelations distract you from the criminal actions perpetrated regularly by the U.S. government would be a bad mistake.
 
DEMAGOGY 101 AND OBAMA’S CONTINUITY OF BUSH’S CRIMES
 
The "War on Terror" is a war on freedom (link: http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article35716.htm). Instead of putting a lid on his predecessor's crimes and holding him accountable, George W. Bush's legacy has been continued by President Obama, who has mastered the art of demagogy 101 (link: http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article35663.htm). A few of Bush's more prominent criminal endeavors continued -- and in most cases, worsened -- by Obama include:
 
- Prolonged Detention - ensuring indefinite imprisonment for detainees, regardless of whether or not there is any evidence of wrongdoing and without trial or charge.
 
- Expansion of the so-called "PATRIOT Act" - which was rammed through Congress and passed illegally, that actually consists of two versions, one of which is public and one of which is secret (link: http://www.alternet.org/civil-liberties/sen-ron-wyden-nsa-spying-its-bad-snowden-says).
 
- Expansion of the NSA's illegal surveillance - pushed towards Washington's goal of "Total Information Awareness" after the attacks of 9/11, which includes the bulk collection of all your electronic activities including email, social media, internet searches, tracking your license plates, photographing your regular mail, demanding your user account passwords from your Internet Service Providers, and much, much more.
 
- Illegal wars in Afghanistan and Iraq - and a multitude of covert wars and questionable drone strikes in other Middle East locations, including Yemen, Libya, and Syria with the desired endgame being war with Iran, which opened new avenues of revenue, torture and war crimes for our leadership in Washington and the corrupt corporations that own them.

The War on Terror is also a massive fraud. Al-Qaida was created by the U.S. government on President Ronald Reagan's watch, and in fact, the U.S. military has awarded contracts to Al-Qaida in Afghanistan (link: http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article35716.htm). In fact, Washington spends a lot of time and taxpayer money propping up and supporting Al-Qaida. YET MORE REASON TO DOUBT THE NSA AND WASHINGTON IN GENERAL
 
Look at the prime defenders of the NSA’s illegal spying and those who are its staunchest supporters. Lawmakers who upheld the NSA’s illegal spying received twice the money from the Defense Industry as those who opposed it (link: http://www.wired.com/threatlevel/2013/07/money-nsa-vote/). Many in Washington remain silent because they don’t want to rock the boat and are looking towards the 2016 elections (link: http://www.alternet.org/civil-liberties/why-are-liberals-hillary-clinton-and-elizabeth-warren-so-quiet-about-snowdens). When you look at candidate Obama’s stances on the NSA’s illegal spying (link: http://www.commondreams.org/view/2013/07/25-6) and how President Obama has done a complete turnabout and acquiesced to Washington’s culture of corruption with open arms, the pattern of deception becomes crystal clear.
 
As mentioned above, all you need to do to understand why Democracy has been hijacked by Washington is to follow the money. There is an obviously corrupt pattern of deception perpetrated by so-called intelligence committees based on the amount of money received by those members for their collusion that perpetually enables the government’s illegal actions. Proof of that can be found by looking at all the money the chairs of those committees – Democrat Dianne Feinstein in the Senate and Republican Mike Rogers in the House -- have made by enabling the government’s illegal actions. Both the aforementioned politicians are corrupt to the core and have thrown every U.S. citizen under the proverbial bus. Their uppermost priority is raking in millions of dollars at taxpayer expense, not keeping us safe.
 
The State Department's warnings about attacks on U.S. Embassies in the Middle East by an enemy that Washington created and still strongly supports and protects (link: http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article35690.htm), especially like places in Syria to implement regime change under the guise of war, offer us yet more ample reason to doubt the NSA (link: http://www.alternet.org/civil-liberties/nsa-leaks) and government in general. Instead of having an open and honest debate with the U.S. public as promised by President Obama, we get political theater and the propaganda it profusely promulgates. Instead of talking about and acting on those responsible for the crimes committed by Washington Obama onerously abuses the Espionage Act in what amounts to modern-day McCarthyism (link: http://www.commondreams.org/view/2013/08/06-14) to try and crucify those that reveal their illegal actions.
 
NO ONE IS QUESTIONING WASHINGTON’S ONEROUS SCARE CAMPAIGN
 
The government's illegal activities don't keep us safe. They actually endanger us and make us more vulnerable. It only applies to U.S. citizens. When a whistle blower has to seek asylum in Russia for revealing the U.S. Government's crimes, you know something is drastically wrong. Orwell's 1984 novel now serves as the poster child for the ruling elite. According to the government, increasingly, we are now their enemy. When the government fabricates terrorism to justify keeping us safe with their illegal actions, America should be worried.
