America and the Islamic movements in Iraq
The U.S. administration was considering how to eliminate those Islamic movements, especially after the Islamic revolution emerged in Iran under the leadership of Imam Khomeini, May he rest in peace, and the declaration of the regime in Iran as an Islamic one. Thus, Iran’s hostile and revolutionary slogans against the American regime and the Zionist entity, which say that America is the enemy of the people and the Great Satan, disappointed the White House .

Iran is a state defending the vulnerable people in the world; this slogan has had a great impact and helped awakening the Islamic nation. The Iraqi Muslim people were the first to be affected by this blessed revolution. This comes for several reasons; the most important is the doctrine, which combines the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Iraqi people, for the two countries follow the school of Ahl al-Bayt.

The second reason was the presence of the scholars in Iraq, who lived with Imam Khomeini and were influenced by his words, which were in line with the Islamic law, reason and logic. The Muslims moved on in Iraq, led by the Hawza (seminary) in Najaf, Karbala and Kadhimiya, and martyr Sayyed al-Sadr backed the Islamic Revolution and its leader late Imam, and ordered the Iraqi people to adhere to this revolution and its leader. He said (Be devoted to Imam Khomeini as he was devoted to Islam). The White House was planning to eradicate the Islamic movement in Iraq, and the Americans were concerned over losing control as happened in the Islamic Republic of Iran. Hence, they ordered their agent in the region, who in turn feared losing his chair at the hands of the Islamic movements and their leaderships. He thus, with the help of the Arab regimes, suppressed this movement in a brutal way that was unprecedented in the whole world.

He arrested the scholars, intellectuals, youth people, and women and took them to prisons and to the gallows. He executed many of them, put the rest in dark prisons, and displaced many of them claiming that they were Iranian citizens. The Iraqi people and the Islamic movement kept on facing blows from this infidel and brutal regime. However, despite what the movement has suffered, it remained steadfast supported by the people, the scholars, and backed by the Islamic Republic led by the late Imam, and later by the leadership of Imam Khamenei; in order to defend itself, its principles, and its oppressed people. Then, God separated them, and thus the dispute occurred between America and Saddam when he invaded Kuwait, which was also helping Saddam in destroying the Islamic movement.

Saddam’s intelligence services were pursuing the militants fleeing from the oppression of Saddam’s regime, with the help of the Kuwaiti government, which was facilitating that. However, the American armies moved towards destroying Saddam in 1991, and the Islamic movement in Iraq took advantage of this circumstance i.e. the weakness of Saddam’s regime. Then, the Muslim Iraqi people rose up declaring that they do not want but only Islam as an approach and this took place on the fifteenth of the month of Sha’ban A.H. of the same year. The people also raised the images of scholars and references, especially the images of the late Imam. When America eye-witnessed that it went crazy and stopped its drive to Baghdad. It gave the regime the green light, supported it with arms and released the military units that were besieged, took control of the movement of the rebels in the popular uprising, and confiscated their weapons in some areas. It, however, remained silent in media on Saddam’s crimes against the Iraqi people, and declared imposing siege on the Iraqi people, and its purpose was to eliminate the Islamic movement and not Saddam, because it knows that the regime does not care about the people. In fact, the Iraqi Muslim people have suffered woes as a result of that brutal siege, but ‘Subhan Allah’ (Glorious is God), He defeated their plans and the people did not surrender. As a result, the Islamic movement in Iraq was progressing day after day, until it became a phenomenon witnessed by the friend and the foe, especially when the Friday prayers took place in Iraq, led by martyr Sayyed al-Sadr the second, Mohammed Mohammed Sadeq al-Sadr, whose slogans were all against America and who incited all the people of Iraq to hate America and explained to them that the suffering of the Iraqi people is caused by America and Satan; he, rest in peace, meant Saddam and America.

At this time, America was concerned over losing control, for Saddam was weak on the one hand and on the other hand there were an Islamic awakening in Iraq. Thus, the Great Satan thought of getting rid of those Islamic movements through working on bringing Saddam down, to help the Iraqi people who are suffering because of him, provided that the Islamic movements in Iraq become under the U.S. umbrella. Yet, some of those movements recognized this game, but they had no other choice, for they were afraid that the Americans might topple the regime and might hand the ruling over to the Baathists once again. Thus, they became under its control, and others followed them after the collapse of Saddam. Each part of these parties was watching the other fearfully, for America feared the Islamists, but has had no other way to control Iraq and the region, but only through friendship with the Islamists and giving them some powers in Iraq. On the other hand, the Islamists had no other choice but only to obey America and to ignore its deeds awaiting any event to take place in the world or the region that would be capable of throwing the occupation forces out of their land.

America prepared several papers in order to topple the Islamists, and to reduce their influence and the amount of people supporting them through giving them ruling positions, harassing them, and filling their time with terrorism, the misguided movements, and the sectarian war that was supported by America and the Arab agent rulers so that not to be available to see the people, and thus they collapse and lose the people who support them.

Hence, we warn the brethrens working in the Iraqi arena to be aware of the devil that is thinking day and night to eliminate the symbols of this movement popularly, to be honest with the people, and not to run after the chair, money, and palaces. Avoid losing your popularity, and making people lose religion and the Islamic movements, noting that the scholars and believers have sacrificed themselves, their money, and everything they own for the sake of those movements.
