Imam Khamenei: Who Threatens Iran Security, Principles Will be Confronted
"Differences of views should not lead to conflicts ... the policy of the regime is to work with the majority. But if opposition groups have ideas that are against the nation's security and the principles of the regime, they will be confronted," his eminence said.

Imam Khamenei also said Iran was not afraid of Western powers, especially the United States and Britain. "The US government and the British government have two hundred years of wicked attitude towards Iran. So be it. This will not intimidate anyone," the Supreme leader said as worshippers chanted: "Death to America! Death to Israel!."

The university was packed with worshippers and black-clad supporters of Imam Khamenei. Top Iranian officials and clerics were present to hear the sermon, including Ahmadinejad, parliament speaker Ali Larijani and chief of judiciary Sadeq Larijani. Ayatollah urged Iranians to attend next Friday's annual pro-Palestinian protests in Tehran, but cautioned that there may be those who wished "to create discord".

Imam Sayyed Ali indicated that Tehran must remain firm on its right to have nuclear technology. "We must stand firm on our rights. If we give up our rights, whether nuclear or other rights, this will lead to decline (of the society)". "We will walk the path of decline if instead of using freedom for scientific and ethical progress, we use it to spread sin, instead of standing against arrogance, aggressors and international looters, we feel weak in front of them and retreat, and instead of frowning at them we smile at them," his eminence said.
