Islam Times - A three sided attack on Gaza

That which is taking place in Gaza is not just a Zionist attack and the Zionist murder of defenseless Palestinians. Rather, it is a three sided attack where in addition to the Zionists, the organization in Ramallah, the political leaders of Egypt, and the political leaders of some other Arab countries are inside as well.

The people being attacked - Hamas - must first recognize its enemies and then, with complete preparation, show them a suitable reaction.

As was mentioned above, this attack is a three sided attack. The first side of the participants is the Zionists. Their goal is clear and there is no doubt about them. They want to put an end to the reign of Hamas - they want to destroy this movement which is the symbol of resistance in Palestine. Livoni's speech in Cairo is the most important testimony of this claim - she clearly stated this in the capital of Egypt. They choose a simple goal in their attacks on Gaza which is attacking the centers of security forces which are always full of these people. These forces are working there around the clock. There is no problem for the Zionists in that these attacks can cause a victory in the elections for them (in polls taken after the attack the Kadima political party has surpassed the Likud party for the first time). Zionists believe that the Palestinian resistance will fall by killing many Palestinians. They believe that the people's trust of Hamas will be destroyed and that their spirits will be weakened.

The second side of the attack and this war against Hamas is Abbas and his political and propagational supporters. Abbas has said many times that his return to Gaza is immanent and we must not forget his words or pretend that they are insignificant. Today the meaning and instance of his words are clear. Their claim for unity and a unified destiny are nothing but lies and propagation - they are without foundation. Just as before when the Zionists attacked Palestinian areas, Abbas left Palestine. He left just before the Zionists attacked Gaza in order to encourage other Arab countries to cooperate with the Zionists so that this regime will give the PLO freedom to rule over Gaza.

The third side of the attack on Gaza is the Mubarak's government and the rest of the Arab governments who support him. Mubarak's government caused itself rusa'i twice: once when it warned Umar Sulayman to reject Hamas and we see that this warning has been implemented and second when all of Mubarak's honor was destroyed when Livoni threatened a widespread attack on Gaza from Cairo, the capital of Mubarak's government. Mubarak remained silent which in a way showed that he is satisfied with this attack.

What was mentioned about the Egyptian government was the apparent measures, the measures that were taken in the open, but secretly the Egyptian government committed another act of treason: they tried to trick Hamas so that the Zionist's attack would have a better chance of success (the speaker of Hamas said that the Egyptian government told Hamas right before the attack that the Zionists will not attack for a long time).

The Egyptian government well knew about this attack. The Zionist regime gave news of an immanent attack on Gaza to the leaders of the Arab countries. How can we accept that Egypt, the first country to sign a peace treaty with Israel and the closest country with that regime, would not have known about the attack?

Another thing to think about is why Egypt, in the dire straits that it is, not only does not defend defenseless people, but prevents public and foreign aid from reaching this area. They put the weight of their army at Rafah so that, God forbid, Palestinians would come there and destroy the crossing.

These are the attackers of Gaza. Now we have to see what the results are and up to where it will be drawn out. Tawfiq Jabr, the police chief in Gaza was martyred. The enemies talked so much about him and his position - they only consider someone a police officer who works to fulfill their personal desires. About 200 other police officers were killed in Palestine as a result of the evil plans of the attackers. They people who knew about these attacks did not warn them so that they could have escaped the bombings and these people who protected security, these dignified people, these patriotic people would not have been killed.

In any case, Hamas must not allow the Zionist regime to reach its goals. It must take the American politicians and the 17th of May Palestinian political party out of the political scene. There is no other method other than resistance for Hamas. We are upset when even one person reaches martyrdom but we know that all accounts state that the resistance must continue. Before anything we are hopeful that Allah will aid this political and military resistance. We have faith in this.
