Johnson, Dulles, Mossad plotted Kennedy murder: US scholar

Dr. Kevin Barrett, a founding member of the Scientific Panel for the Investigation of 9/11, made the remarks in a phone interview with Press TV on Monday while commenting on Dr. Paul Craig Roberts’ article, titled When They Killed JFK They Killed America, published on Saturday.
 
According to Dr. Roberts, who as a young man worked at the White House during the JFK administration, Kennedy was assassinated by certain evil people residing in Washington because of his opposition to the Vietnam War and military-industrial complex.
 
“Dr. Roberts opines that President Kennedy was essentially killed by the military-industrial complex. And I think that he is right, in broad strokes,” Dr. Barrett said.
 
“President Kennedy went up against the most powerful special interest of his time. That was indeed the military-industrial complex that President [Dwight D.] Eisenhower warned us about when he left office [in 1961]. In particular, Kennedy went after the CIA. He fired Allen Dulles, the head of the CIA, after the failed Bay of Pigs Invasion,” he added.  
 
“There was apparently a communications issue between Dulles and Kennedy. When Kennedy assumed office, Dulles lied and told Kennedy that if they sent some CIA-trained Cubans into Cuba, the Cuban people would rise up and overthrow [President Fidel] Castro,” he stated.
 
“And of course that was really designed as an excuse for American intervention, a military invasion of Cuba. Kennedy realized that he had been lied to, refused, took the blame, his popularity skyrocketed, and Dulles was very angry. Kennedy fired Dulles,” he pointed out.
 
“And, so Allen Dulles, the former CIA chief, became a lead player in the assassination conspiracy that killed President Kennedy. And this is no longer a secret. Even relatively mainstream sources today are discussing this openly,” the analyst continued.
 
“President Johnson was also involved in the killing of President Kennedy. James Jesus Angleton, the Israeli Mossad liaison to the CIA, was also a key player in the assassination,” the researcher stated.   
 
Dr. Barrett said Israel had a motive to kill Kennedy because the president was opposed to the regime's nuclear weapons program which he believed could instigate a nuclear arms-race in the Middle East.
 
Kennedy encountered tensions with former Israeli Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion who wanted to develop nuclear weapons, he said.
 
“It seems very likely that indeed the Israelis played a significant role in the assassination as discussed in the Michael Collins Piper’s book” Final Judgment: The Missing Link in the JFK Assassination Conspiracy, the scholar observed.
