E. Michael Jones made the remarks while commenting on a statement by US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo regarding Israel.

Speaking in Brazil on Tuesday, Pompeo said that Washington will continue to work closely with Israel over Syria and Iran, despite President Donald Trump’s announcement of withdrawing American troops from Syria.

The top US diplomat told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the Brazilian capital Brasilia that President Trump’s announcement of pulling out troops from Syria “in no way changes anything that this administration is working on alongside Israel.”

“This is not the way the government works here. The people choose the president, because he has a policy they agree with. The president then chooses people to implement that policy. That’s the way system works,” Jones said.

“So what we have here is a man who is going to work against…despite the president. This is what he just said. This is the whole problem in the United States of America right now. This is the entire reason why Donald Trump was elected in the first place,” he stated.

“What you have are American oligarchs in collaboration with a foreign power namely the state of Israel pursuing their own foreign policy in defiance of the will of the people of the United States of America.  This is why Donald Trump was elected. This is the problem that we are facing right now,” he added.

“Donald Trump has the entire deep state against him. The deep state has been working to depose him ever since he has been elected, even before he was elected. And in order to fight the deep state, Donald Trump feels he needs to have the power from the allies namely the Jews, the Israel lobby – Sheldon Adelson, Bernard Marcus, Paul Singer, the whole crowd that basically contributed to his campaign,” the analyst noted.

“In order to placate these people he has to hire people who will work against him if he tries to set his own policy.  This is the problem the United States is facing. This is the problem the world is facing,” Jones said.

“We have a group of people who have their hands on levers of power that are not accountable to anyone, not accountable to the people of the United States, not accountable to the world opinion, not accountable to anything. And the question is how does the United Sates, how the people of the world try and steer a course towards peace when these people are determined to have war,” the analyst concluded.
