Shias killed in Iraq instigated Saudi Arabian scholars and Wahabis

Muhammad al-Hassan al-Abid al-Shimri confessed to committing crimes and murdering poeple in northern Baghdad.


Al-Jazeera reported that Qasim 'Ata, the speaker of the Baghdad Security Project, mentioned in a news conference referring to al-Shimri: "This person, along with a group of terrorists called 'The Arab Freedom Fighters' and connected with the terrorist orginization al-Qaeda, has been arrested."

Al-Shimri was known to be one of the leaders of Al-Qaeda in Iraq. His confession was video taped and published by the media. He emphasized that he was encouraged by some Saudi Arabian scholars and Wahabis to carry out terrorist acts against Iraqi Shias.

Al-Shimri continued by clearly stating that Saudi Arabian Wahabis taught him that the Shias in Iraq must be killed as they are rafidin.
