Islam Times - Official: Iran Leading Pole in Separation of Isotopes

Islam Times - The deputy head of Iran's Atomic Energy Organization said Iran has turned into a leading pole in the field of separating stable isotopes, relying on indigenous knowhow and using artificial intelligence.

Ali Nowroozi told the National Conference on Digital Transformation and Intelligent Systems in the southern city of Lar, Fars province, the development of isotopes needs high technology, adding Iranian scientists have gained the knowhow for the development and separation of the isotopes.

Nowroozi pointed out AI is widely used in nuclear technology, including in the nuclear fuel and power plants.

The Iranian nuclear official added AI is also used in boosting the safety of systems in nuclear industry and power plants.

Referring to the complexity of nuclear enrichment, Nowroozi said AI can be used in this time-consuming process too.

According to the official, stable isotopes are used in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and are widely used in pharmaceutical sciences.
