Islam Times - Imam Khomeini hurt the Zionist Regime by announcing the Day of Quds

The head of the Muslim Association of New Zealand said: “The best thing that Imam Khomeini left behind for Islam was naming the last Friday of the month of Ramadan Quds Day. This hurt the Zionists.”

Javid Iqbal, the head of the Muslim Association of New Zealand said: “Imam Khomeini eternalized the oppression of the Palestinian nation and the necessity to support them. The issue of Palestine is not only an Arab issue; rather it is an Islamic and international issue. The necessity of the Islamic world to wake up and seriously support Palestine is even clearer due to heinous crimes committed by the Zionist regime.”

He continued: “Imam Khomeini had great foresight and at the beginning of the revolution realized that America and its allies do not want to solve the Palestinian issue. He knew that the only way this issue would be solved would be unity amongst the Muslim ranks.”

Iqbal expressed a desire for all of the Day of Quds protests throughout the world to be bigger and better than what was seen in previous years.
