Now Canada asks for burqa to be removed

Islam Times: It is now the turn of Canada to take some sort of start  and create more islamophobia as Muslims women hoping to be Canadians will now have to remove any face coverings, such as the niqab or burqa, while they take the oath of citizenship, the country's immigration minister Jason Kenney told the world today. Mr. Kenney has a really thin reason for the burqa ban, his reason is that he has received complaints from lawmakers and citizenship judges who say it is difficult to ensure that individuals whose faces are covered are actually reciting the oath.

Kenney said it is also a question of values. He said new Canadians should be taking the oath in view of their fellow citizens.

"This is not simply a practical measure. It is a matter of deep principle that goes to the heart of our identity and our values of openness and equality," Kenney said.

Kenney said the oath of citizenship has to be done freely and openly and under equal conditions.

The latest stance from Canada surely shall on create more differences amongst Muslims and rest of the world and give other countries a reason to ban the burqa too.
