Islam Times - Hamad: The Bahraini people’s origin is Qatari

Bahrain (Islam Times) – The Bahraini King, Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, believes that the Bahraini people’s origin is from an area in Qatar. Al-Wifaq (National Accord Association) considered these words falsification of facts and history by those who have a complex of belonging to their homeland.

Khalil Al-Marzouq, a leader in Al-Wifaq, said that this people are not Iranian, neither did they come from Al-Mahmara nor from Al-Zibara, and wondered whether it will be said that they came from Zanzibar.

Al-Marzouq added that those who have a psychological complex of belonging to our beloved homeland should not falsify facts and history.

Sheikh Husseid Al-Deihi, Deputy Secretary General of Al-Wifaq, said: We the authentic people of Bahrain do not know that we have another home other than Bahrain. We have graves that are older than 500 years that have our scholars and symbols.
