He added that in spite of the violent and often brutal repressive methods of the government in tis efforts to crackdown on peaceful protesters over the past year, most Bahrainis were still very much determined to carry on their fight for justices and freedom as they knew their demands were legitimate and fair.

"Today, let it be said that the Bahraini people reject the government and that the King should not ignore the call of its people but answer them swiftly. The King needs to remember that only the people are the source of power and that by only recognizing the authority and legitimacy of a few, he is simply destroying his own house and legacy for it is built on moving sand.” Al-Marzooq completed his speech by stressing on the importance of an honest and open dialogue with all parties.

In case the king takes into consideration only those who gathered at Al fateh, it would be his choice since the people insist to be the source of authority and no one else." He concluded his speech of the importance of the actual and effective discussion.
