33 Candidates competing in the consultative elections of Al-Wefaq
The supervising election committee said that the number of applicants is 36 candidates who went through the procedures established in the statute, and the applicants who met the standards are 33 which will participate in the competition on March 31st in the electoral process which will take place in Marmaris hall.

The consultative council consists of members whose number is defined by the bylaws, and are elected by a secret ballot by the General Conference. The first Consultative council of Al-Wefaq consisted of 30 members for the duration of four years, half of which are reelected every two years.

The committee said that all preparations are going according to the plan and preparations which began four months ago, where reports, plans, programs and coordination of workshops have been prepared to accompany the conference. The Committee expected that the conference and its activities will have high attendances and interactions, and will also witness serious discussions regarding the mobility, performance and attitudes of Al-Wefaq in its political administration.
