Demands to release activist Abdul Hadi Al Khawaja

They demanded that immediate action be taken towards the release of al-Khawaja as they stressed his health was severely deteriorating because of his imprisonment.

Fateh Azzal confirmed that the High Commissioner was already concerned with the Bahraini crisis and human rights conditions, emphasizing on the importance of human rights and citizens dignity.

He added that the UN High Commission for Human Rights would continue to monitor the situation closely.
