Islam Times - Sarkozy visits Riyadh to Support Saudi Arabia in War against the Shia of Saada

As Europe announces its support of Saudi Arabia and its cooperation with the ruling family in the destruction of the Shia of Saada, the President of France with a group of high ranking officials entered Riyadh.

This visit is especially important because of France’s influence in the European Union. France has a lot of power and influence in Europe. They can easily solve this conflict which would aid the relationships between the countries of the European Union and the Islamic world.

Nicolas Sarkozy is traveling to Saudi Arabia at a time when the king is under a lot of pressure. The general opinion in Saudi Arabia is against the war; they do not want Saudi Arabian forces inside Yemen.

King Abdullah claimed that he has been able to destroy the Al-Houthi Movement in the central regions of Yemen. But, Taliban news agencies have reported and shown the severe bombing of civilian areas in Saada and ‘Imran.
