Participation of more than 5 million voters in Parliamentary Elections

Reports received from the Ministry of the Interior pointed out that 5 million Iranian voters in 18 Iranian provinces participated in the second phase of elections of the ninth session of the Islamic Shura Council.

The capital Tehran had 1191765 voters who voted to elect 25 deputies from among 50 candidates, to complete the number of deputies (that is 30 total) representing the people of Tehran.

The Election Committee of the Ministry of Interior will announce later the final results of the electoral districts that have taken place in the second phase of parliamentary elections.
