Arab league condemns brutality of Israeli forces against Palestinian prisoners
The Arab officials condemned the brutality of Israeli forces against the Palestinians as they have also discussed possible means of bringing an end to the sufferings of the Palestinian people. Ahmed Ben Helli, deputy Arab League Secretary General said that the Arab league will ask the UN general assembly to hold an emergency meeting to resolve this ongoing crisis.

In essence, the Palestinian ambassador to Cairo said that the Arab countries are standing in solidarity with all Palestinian prisoners in Israel. He also called on the Arab countries
to pile up pressure on Israel to release all the Palestinians detained unlawfully in its prisons.

Around 2000 Palestinians are now on hunger strike demanding improved prison conditions and increased access to family and lawyer visits. Most of strikers began refusing food on April 17th.

The Arab league officials urged the necessity of legal and political actions against Israel in order to bring an end to the plight of the Palestinian prisoners and to shed more light on the Israeli violations.
