Egypt going through unprecedented pre-election period
Many here are talking about the presidential candidates' campaigns, strategies, even the choice of pictures and placement of TV ads as well as outdoor banners. Moataz Abdul Rahman a campaigning expert said that the electoral process in Egypt is unprecedented.

Even though the first post-revolution presidential election is less
than three weeks away, polls shows 50% of the people remain undecided on who to vote. Some of the presidential candidates are also yet to be known by the people due to their lack of popularity.

Many Egyptians, who only knew Mubarak as the president for the past 30 years, are now looking forward to a new president who comes from among the people and knows the hardships of ordinary citizens.

For the first time in Egyptian history, pictures and messages of
different candidates are covering every corner of the country in a bid to win the votes of the general public but all of this is untouched territory as it is the first real elections in the country.
