A small committee of the People's Assembly to dialogue with the Military Council

The Committee includes 10 members: Dr. Mohamed Saad al-Katatni (PA Speaker), Ashraf Thabet and Mohamed Abdel-Alim Dawoud (Deputy Speakers), in addition to 7 deputies representatives from the major parties of the Council: freedom and justice, Al-Nour, Al-Wafd, Al-Wasat, Reform and Development, Free Egyptian, and Social Democratic Party.
Katatni pointed out in a press statement the four major points which will be discussed in the small committee’s dialogue with the military council in the coming period.
The four main points are:
The current crisis between the parliament and the government, the military council’s responsibility in it, and ways to solve this crisis.
The recent events in al-Abbassiya and the consequent fall of martyrs, injuries and arrests, as well as prosecutions and exceptional measures.
The rumors and reports about the military council’s intention in issuing a constitutional declaration.
The Public’s concern about the transparency and integrity of the presidential election.
Al-Katatni said: “The results that the small committee will achieve in its dialogue with the "military" will be presented in the plenary session of the parliament to take the appropriate measures.”
