Islam Times - Yemenis protest in suppot of northern tribal areas' residents

Islam Times - Tens of thousands of Yemeni protesters stood firm Friday in the capital Sanaa in solidarity with the people of Arhab, Nihm and Benu Jarmooz, who suffered months long bombardment by regime forces during the revolution.

The protesters chanted, "We’ll stay with Arhab, Nihm and Benu Jarmooz, and will never forget"

Protesters also called on the new president and the unity government to take decisive measures and rid these areas from armored manifestations.

As the country gears up for the national dialogue expected to take place in a few weeks; reports say that a US counter terrorism team has entered Yemen, in an effort to support Yemeni government's forces in their fight against armed militants. Many Yemenis however have condemned this type of US intervention, arguing that it will only stir the country into further chaos.

Yemeni protesters say that the people of Arhab, Nihm and Benu Jarmooz continue to suffer despite the ouster of Ali Saleh from power. Observers say, this indicates that the inner circle of Ali Saleh still exerts influence, in Yemen's military affairs.
