“The manner in which the car was exploded resembles the way Israel carried out similar attacks in the Red Sea State” Ali Ahmed Karti told the al-Shoroug channel on Tuesday.

Karti said the Israeli regime believes that Sudan supports the Palestinian groups and political parties.

The Tuesday blast that happened just before 8:00 am local time on the western edge of Port Sudan town, instantly killed “businessman” Nasir Awad Ahmad Saed.

Later on, the news website Sudanese Media Center (SMC) reported that it has obtained information indicating that the explosion was the result of an airstrike on Saed’s car.

According to local sources Saed was one of the chieftains of Al-Ababda tribes and one of the richest men in Port Sudan. They said he was running a business in real estates and owns a number of hotels in the state.

Israel designates eastern Sudan as a route for smuggling arms to the besieged Gaza strip through Egypt’s Sinai desert.
