Yemenis stage fresh demos calling revolution demands to be met
The Friday protests came after several tents were cleared away from Sanaa's liberation square; a move the protesters say was aimed at hijacking the revolution.

Revolutionary activist Nadia Abdullah who has participated in almost every youth protest since the beginning of the anti-Saleh protests has accused the supporters of power transfer deal for the latest aggression on the liberation square.

The Yemeni Youth Revolution started in late January of 2011. Although Yemen’s new president came to power in February in a one-man show supported by the US and Saudi Arabia, many here say Ali Abdullah Saleh is still exerting significant influence from behind the scenes.

Protesters along with opposition parties say they will stay in the liberation square of Sana'a until the fall of Saleh's regime and until Yemen becomes free from the remnants of Saleh’s regime, corrupted government officials and western intervention.

Over a year ago, youth protesters erected tents in front of the Sanaa university roundabout known today as the liberation square.

Back then protesters who erected tents vowed to remain in the liberation square until all demands of the revolution are met. Until Now protests continue despite several attempts to clear-out the revolutionary site.
