Islam Times - The leader of Alwefaq Association – biggest movement of the opposition - Hadi al-Mosawi said during a news conference that "the number of marches and gatherings that was called for by the opposition forces and prevented by the authorities added to 35," which the politician explained was proof the regime was systematically trying to stop the opposition from expressing its discontent.

Al-Mosawi said: "they are trying to stop us .they are trying to stop our voice! We will make them listen to it this Friday."

He pointed out that the activities of the opposition forces were an example of peace and civilization. What bothered the authorities he explained is the huge number of people who were asking for freedom and democracy.

Al-Mosawi said that Freedom of expression in Bahrain is exposed to a large setback. While citizens in the past were allowed to demonstrate only in the capital, now they aren’t allowed to demonstrate anywhere.

Al-Mosawi stressed that the opposition is in touch with  the freedom association of the United Nations, , stressing that in September there will be a special session in the Council of the United Nations in Geneva to follow up Bahrain human rights file.

Moreover Al-Mosawi noted there had been 2000 arrest in one month, 66 houses were attacked at dawn, all of which figures in the Bassiouni report.
