KSA, Turkey, Qatar to blame for bloodshed in Syria: Iran cmdr.
“Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey are responsible for the blood that is being shed in Syria,” said Chairperson of Iran’s Armed Forces Chiefs of Staff Major General Hassan Firouzabadi on Monday.

“It is not a proper norm for Syria’s neighboring states to facilitate America’s warmongering objectives,” he added. “If, they accept such a norm, they must then realize that after Syria, Turkey and other [such] states will be next in line.”

Maj. Gen. Firouzabadi further cautioned Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar against “becoming the victims of promoting al-Qaeda terrorism.”

“We warn our friends about this trend,” added the top commander, who also serves as a member of Iran’s Expediency Council.

Reiterating that the “enemies of Islam would not abandon [the use of] terror by any means,” he further highlighted reports that while London is hosting the international Olympics games and “the torch of peace, friendship and co-existence,” an English officer is caught in the Afghan capital of Kabul, carrying 50 explosive vests.

“Did this criminal not intend to kill hundreds of innocent Shia and Sunni Muslims in the region?” he asked.

The top military commander also stated that al-Qaeda and Wahhabism have nowadays targeted innocent Muslims.

Iran declared on Monday that it holds the US, Qatar, and Turkey, which are supporting the insurgents in Syria, accountable for the lives of the Iranian pilgrims recently abducted in the Arab country.

We hold the Turkish government responsible for giving shelter to these armed groups and for criminal acts carried out by these groups, such as kidnapping Iranian citizens, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian said on Monday.

“We also hold the Qatari government accountable. It is worth mentioning that the US is openly supporting the armed groups with ammunition,” he added.

He made the comments after unconfirmed media reports said that three of the 48 Iranian pilgrims recently abducted by insurgents in Syria have been murdered.
