Saudi dissident: a difficult phase waiting for the citizens of Eastern Saudi Arabia
He said in an interview with the world news channel on Saturday, although there is consensus on a peaceful movement but it is difficult to control the feelings of citizens who are exposed to shootings and insults at the security checkpoints every day, adding that youth movement will not stop.

And added that the Saudi National Guard was founded to face the inside movement and is composed of tribes mostly from the Najd which is loyal to the regime, the National Guard has been already sent to the eastern region in tens of thousands in November 1979, to quell the revolt and its role lead to the killing of many demonstrators in the streets.

And he went on by saying, we now consider the presence of National Guard troops in the eastern region indicative of the instability of the situation and that these troops were sent to face the tens of thousands of protesters, and that the situation is now similar to the situation in 1979.

He continued: authorities are concerned with the demonstrations that are overwhelmingly expanding, which would threaten the area.

Al Hassan assured that the eastern region is facing a difficult stage, and he said: yesterday a citizen was killed and many were injured, the state insists on using violence and weapons despite the fact that there is a consensus on a peaceful movement.

He said: we hope the system comes back to its senses because the use of violence is fueling the feelings of the citizens who will retaliate, and I am sure that the youth movement will not stop and the system must come up with a solution.
