Survey: Pakistanis see US as ‘biggest enemy’‎
However, far from what the military perceives about India, the public perception has undergone a dramatic shift.

A survey by Gallup Pakistan points out that majority of people view the US as the most hostile country. Forty-nine percent of people in the survey believe that the United States is Pakistan’s biggest enemy while only twenty-four percent still consider India as an enemy state.

The economic and human losses of Pakistan during eleven years of so-called war on terror are far more than four wars together with archrival India since 1947.

According to official estimates, Pakistan lost over 35000 people and more than 70 billion dollars in the economy since the country joined so-called war on terror. The economic troubles and political instability are growing because of Taliban insurgency, something that is believed to have led people to view the US as the most hostile country.
