Amnesty International: high practices of torture in Tunisia

Islam Times - The executive director of Amnesty International Tunisia Lotfi Azzouz said on Saturday that there’s a continuous practice of torture, abuse and mistreatment operations in Tunisia after the revolution.

Azzouz called on the government to respect human rights and work to hold all people who physically abuse citizens, adding "We have to provide a firm political will in order to prevent further such violations of human rights."

Lotfi Azzouz assured that during the annual general meeting of the organization held on 8 and 9 September, he will discuss the of the death penalty and work for its elimination in Tunisia.
