Saudi Arabia denies reports of Prince Saud al-Faisal's death

Prince Saud al-Faisal arrived to Los Angeles to recover in his palace from a surgical operation for a few weeks before returning to the kingdom.

Prince Saud al-Faisal held several telephone calls today and on Sunday evening with senior officials of the ministry to follow up on a number of political issues and administrative transactions.

Prince Saud al-Faisal is the oldest foreign minister in the world. This is not the first time false rumors about his death have been circulated.

The Royal Court had announced on August 11th, that the 72-year-old Prince went through a successful surgery in the intestines and is in a stable condition now. He suffered a slight blockage in the intestine, a slight complication from a previous operation.
