A group of Kenyan Muslims burn the US flag following afternoon prayers outside the Sakina Jamia Mosque in the port city of Mombasa, September 14, 2012.
Following the Friday prayers, people from various mosques across the city marched to the US embassy in Nouakchott in a move to voice their outrage at the blasphemous American film.

The demonstrators held the US administration responsible for the sacrilegious film as Washington has failed to take any appropriate action against its producers.

Meanwhile a similar demonstration was staged in the Kenyan coastal city of Mombasa. Demonstrators in the African country shouted anti-American slogans and set fire to the US flag.

The Muslim world is outraged at the US for the blasphemous video, which insults the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and depicts Islam as an oppressive religion.

Protests have also erupted in several other countries including Egypt, Iran, Libya, Tunisia, Sudan, Indonesia, Malaysia and Pakistan in response to the sacrilegious film.
