Israeli army evicts Palestinians from Jordan Valley
The final families left their homes with a possibility of not being allowed to return once the military training exercise is complete.

Families from five separate villages in the Jordan Valley were handed eviction notices with one weeks’ notice to leave due to Israeli military training exercises.

However human rights groups believe that they are performing these operations under the auspices of training, however they are using this as an excuse to illegally oust the residents in the area.

The areas where the Israeli military will train this week is Ibziq, Tayasir, Al Maleh, Al Farisiya, Al Hadidiya, Khirbet Humsa, Ras al Ahmar, as well as in the central part of the Jordan Valley.

The military moved in jeeps to the villages and have erected temporary army tents. During the week they will move in army hellocopters, heavy tanks and large planes.

The Israeli army have now evacuated all 30 families from their homes and they are not allowing Palestinians or the press to enter the area. Human rights groups are concerned that they will not be allowed to return to their land.
