Dubai police chief warns of extended Brotherhood in the Gulf States
He said in a lengthy interview with the Egyptian newspaper "The Seventh Day" published yesterday:” "We have evidence of the intervention, the guide is receiving elements of the UAE Brotherhood in Egypt now, and they promise obedience, and this is not right, they are not nationals.

Khalfan added:” I have nothing against the Egyptian president Mohamed Morsi, but against the Muslim Brotherhood who want to market and what I have against them as an attack against Egypt, which is not true at all, my issue is with the ideas of the Muslim Brotherhood and their purposes and goals in the UAE and the GCC."

He warned about the extension of the Brotherhood in the UAE and the Gulf, he said:” If the Egyptians accept the current situation we will not, and we tell the Brotherhood, stay within your borders and we tell the general guide, stop the harm that is all we ask.”

He refused to link his position with the position of the UAE from the new regime in Egypt and said, "I have nothing to do with political matters. I represent the opinion of the Arabic citizen that sees risks for the Arab world from the Muslim Brotherhood. I do not determine the nature of the relations between states, common interests determine our relations with the new regime in Egypt. "

And about an allegation that the UAE has opened its banks and its territory to the symbols of the former regime such as Ahmed Shafik, he said:” the Brotherhood is trying to destroy their opponents and their opponents and governance systems. Shafik was a candidate for the presidency, and it is said that he would have won the re-election if it weren’t for the American intervention.

He stressed that "there is no danger to the Gulf from Iran or from the Brotherhood because tampering with the security of the Gulf means messing with the American national security and the west because of its wealth in oil."

He stressed that "freedom of expression is guaranteed in the UAE I for example, am talking as I want and do not ask permission to talk.”

On the issue of the assassination of Mahmoud al-Mabhouh leader of the Al-Qassam Brigades in Dubai in 2010, he said: "We have arrested a Palestinian who was an agent of the Mossad, and also arrested three others in the European countries. We are still watching and waiting for each accused in the assassination. But we still wonder why Hamas did not notify us about his visit and his presence in Dubai.”
