Islam Times - UK seeks diplomatic solution to Syria crisis: FCO spokesperson

Islam Times - A British Foreign Office spokesperson has told Press TV that the UK seeks a diplomatic solution to the crisis in the Arab Country, condemning terrorist attacks against Syrian civilians.

Dima Naaman raised concerns over the terrorist groups gaining a foothold in Syria, adding that London condemns any terrorist attacks against innocent Syrian civilians.

Britain’s announcement comes after US media reports revealed that the British and the US governments are training Syrian insurgent assassins in Jordan.

According to the reports, the training took place as far back as October and involved the instruction of hundreds of militants at a military base in southern Jordan, where uniformed Jordanian and British military officers as well as American intelligence officers were present.

Many people, including large numbers of security forces, have been killed by foreign-backed armed terrorists in Syria since the unrest began in March 2012.
