American sniper with 150 Iraqis on victims list shot dead in Texas
Chris Kyle along with another man, Chad Littlefield, were shot dead at a shooting range in Glen Rose, located southwest of Dallas, on February 2.

On Sunday, officials charged Eddie Ray Routh with the killings. He opened fire on both men with a semiautomatic handgun before fleeing the scene in a pickup truck belonging to Kyle.

Police arrested Routh after a brief pursuit and charged him with two counts of murder and one count of capital murder.

Kyle, a 38-year-old former cowboy, had killed 150 people while serving four tours of duty in Iraq, making him one of the deadliest snipers the US has ever seen.

In 2012, he wrote the bestseller book called American Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in U.S. Military History, where he said to have killed more than 250 people as a sniper.

While serving four tours of duties in Iraq, the sniper was dubbed as “the Devil” and apparently showed little remorse for his victims.

“Every person I killed I strongly believe that they were bad,” Kyle said in an interview with the BBC last year.

“When I do go face God there is going to be lots of things I will have to account for, but killing any of those people is not one of them,” Kyle added.
