Secretary-General of al-Wefaq confirms that the people have won the battle and their patience will achieve their aspirations

Islam Times – The Secretary General of Bahraini Wefaq, Sheikh Ali Salman said: “the people were successful in stating and imposing their legitimate and rightful cause. They have won the moral, humanitarian, cultural, and legal battle”.


Sheikh Ali Salman assured that he has achieved a significant progress in the political battle and fulfilling the demands of equality, freedom and democracy is a matter of patience and persistence. Victory is guaranteed.

He said in the Friday speech: “For the third year we are continuing our movement no matter what the sacrifices are. We will stay peaceful. We will uphold our unity between all opposing sections, and concentrate our effort to achieve democracy and end all insults. We will coordinate and diversify our work, and innovate peaceful methods to increase the effectiveness of our movement and shorten the time for victory without rush.”

He stressed the need to keep the movement a national one and not sectarian, and to make it possible for other supporters to join in the clear programs that achieve everyone’s demands, and to keep the doors open for the emergence of a political solution resulting from serious negotiations aimed at agreeing on how to respond to the legitimate demands of the people of Bahrain.

Sheikh Ali Salman recommended that the families of the martyrs should be respected, supported and taken care of with all means available. He also called for coexistence with the unjustly hounded, detained and immigrants, recommending that they should be take care of. 

He stressed that one of the goals of the revolution is to break the cycle of fear and anxiety imposed by the regime on the community for decades.
