US posing nuclear threats to China, Russia: US analyst
“I don’t think there is any danger of a nuclear war sparked by North Korea’s nuclear attack. I think there’s a great danger of a nuclear war sparked between the United States and China and the United States and Russia over … Korea in Asia,” said Mike Billington, Asia editor for the Executive Intelligence Review in Washington.

The analyst also slammed the Western media including the New York Times for trying to “falsify the warning coming from China” about the danger of a nuclear war and chaos in Asia.

“What I would like to point out actually is that there has been a concerted effort in the Western press including the New York Times today to falsify the warning coming from China about the danger of war in Asia,” the analyst said.

On April 7, Chinese President Xi Jinping issued a statement saying that no country “should be allowed to throw a region and even the whole world into chaos for selfish gain.”

Referring to the statement released by the Chinese president, Billington said, “That was recorded in the New York Times this morning adding falsely the words in front of that speech that no ‘Asian country’ should have the right to do that.”

On March 30, North Korea declared that it is in a "state of war" with South Korea, warning that any provocation by Seoul and Washington will trigger an all-out nuclear war.

The prospects of an outbreak of war have sharply risen following the participation of the US nuclear-capable B-52s and B-2 stealth bombers in joint military drills with South Korea.

On April 3, the Pentagon announced a decision to deploy an advanced anti-missile system to Guam to protect the US military bases and the 6,000 American military personnel there.

The move promoted Pyongyang to step up its war rhetoric and transfer two medium-range Musudan missiles to its eastern coast in preparation for a possible war.

The North Korean Army said on Thursday it had received permission to launch preemptive nuclear strikes on the US.
