Islam Times - Sheikh Bashir al-Najafi denounces attack against Sheikh Isa Qassim in Bahrain

Islam Times - Sheikh Bashir al-Najafi denounced Bahrain for daring an attack against prominent cleric and politician Sheikh Isa Qassim Friday morning.

He warned against the fall back such an attack is bound to create not only in Bahrain but across the region.

He called the attack a "procrastination of Bahrain people's rights."

In a public statement, Sheikh al-Najafi noted "such an attack against a religious figure is criminal. To target a man of the stature of Sheikh Qassim in his place of residence is yet mote proof of the criminality of the regime. Such acts are meant to delay the reforms the people of Bahrain are calling for."

Sheikh Isa Qassim's home was raided by Bahrain Security Forces early on Friday morning. His property was sacked and his family members - women and children - were left terrorized.
