120 gunmen killed in clashes near Syrian city of Aleppo
On Wednesday, the foreign-backed Takfiri militants were killed in fighting in the suburbs of the city. There are no more details about this incident yet.

This follows an earlier announcement by the army that it has regained full control of Kafar Hamra near Aleppo. Government forces liberated the area after heavy fighting with insurgents.

The Syrian Army’s latest success comes days after it recaptured the strategic city of Qusayr. Following the Qusayr liberation, the Army pledged to crush the foreign-backed insurgency across the Arab country.

Syrian troops were backed by forces from the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah during the Qusayr operation.

The Syrian Army is now in control of most of the towns and villages near the border with Lebanon.

The Syria crisis began in March 2011, and many people, including large numbers of government forces, have been killed.

Damascus says the chaos is being orchestrated from outside the country, and there are reports that a very large number of the militants are foreign nationals.

The Syrian government says the West and its regional allies, such as Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey, are supporting the militants.
