Islam Times - Attack on a senior judge in Pakistan: five killed; several injured

Islam Times - At least five people were killed and several others injured when an explosion occurred near Karachi’s Burns Road area on Wednesday, media reported.

According to initial reports, a remote-controlled bomb blast took place near Burns road, targeting Sindh High Court's senior judge Justice Maqbool Baqar's convoy. The judge was injured as a result of the explosion.

Within minutes of the blast, police, Rangers personnel and rescue team workers reached the site of the incident.

Security personnel cordoned off the area as investigations into the incident began. The casualties were immediately shifted to Civil Hospital.

Karachi, the largest commercial hub of Pakistan has now witnessed violence for a long time.
