Bomb near Damascus claims 10 lives - 66 injured -

An official source at Damascus Countryside Police Command said that terrorists blew up a car rigged with big amounts of explosives in the densely-populated area. Ten were killed, among them a woman, and 66 injured, including children.

All the injured were admitted to hospitals in Jaramana and al-Mwassah and Damascus hospitals for treatment.

The car was parking in the square near the entrance of al-Janayen residential neighborhood, SANA reported said, pointing out that the explosion set off fire in a nearby building before firefighters rushed to the area and extinguished the flames.

The terrorist bombing caused large-scale material damage to nearby shops, buildings and infrastructure, the reported added.
