Saudi support for Egyptian military is shameful, says Nasir Shirazi

Islam Times - A Pakistani political figure slammed Saudi Arabia's support of the Egyptian military crackdown against peaceful and unarmed protester is "the cause of serious concerns for the Muslim world."


Talking to Islam Times, Nasir Abbas Shirazi, the head of Majlise Wahdate Muslimeen's political wing (MWM) noted, "Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Kuwait have announced billions of dollars in fiscal assistance to the Egyptian military  even though its was involved in the killing of hundreds of peaceful demonstrators in Cairo and other Egyptian cities."
 
"According to some reports, the Egyptian military has killed well over 2000 innocent people on Wednesday alone," he added.
 
Very critical of the Egyptian military Shirazi insisted that Muslims across the word should mobilize against such flagrant acts of tyranny. He called for all Muslims to stand united against military dictatorship and against those who support it, namely the U.S., Israel, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Kuwait.
 
He added, "it is duty of the entire Islamic world to raise the issue of massacre in Egypt."
Speaking against Saudi Arabia he declared, "by supporting Egypt's military, King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia is favoring U.S. and Israel's designs in the region."
 
He further added, "while the Islamic world has failed to wage war against the state of Israel it has found the strength to attack its own people, serving the Zionist agenda.
